Hello! My name is Cassandra Hee and I am from a state in Malaysia called Sabah. When I first saw information about Leather Technology at the University of Northampton I was surprised and excited as I had never heard of this kind of course before. I was really interested by the facilities here in Northampton, especially as they have a tannery on campus. I was also excited to study something creative and specialist.

I love studying my Foundation through UNIC and love being able to learn new knowledge that I can take to my degree at the University of Northampton. The lectures at UNIC are friendly and responsible. The notes from our lectures are clear and simple to understand. We are able to send an e-mail to our lecturers when we are unclear of a certain topic and they always reply as soon as possible.

UNIC is on Park Campus at the University. The campus has amazing facilities. The environment is full of green plants and it is really beautiful. There are lots of events organised by the Students’ Union and clubs are free to join making being a student here really fun. Although Northampton is a small city, for me it is much nicer than London. From my own view, I think that London life is busy and hectic whilst Northampton life is more relaxed.

For me, I was worried when I first arrived here because I wasn’t sure I would have any friends that come from the same nationality as me, but after a period of time, I met different people from so many different countries and all of us are like a family now.

Overall UNIC is a great college. The staff and teachers there are so nice. I would recommend you to choose UNIC and join our big family
