Damilola Oke, Nigeria, Pathway in engineering
Damilola

Hello. I am Damilola, a proud Nigerian from Akure, Ondo State, a land where we learn respect and how to be good hard-working people.

The pathway I am studying at UNIC is Engineering. I chose it because I love calculations and logic.

The best thing about being a student here is that I get to study with different people from all over the world. The staff are very lovely and fun to be with. The lecturers are always there when you need them and encourage you to do your very best.

Park Campus at the University of Northampton is like a home. I have met lots of people as it is a very friendly environment. It has a huge library filled with books and lots of other good facilities to help our learning here.

Northampton is a wonderful place to live. It has lots of historical places to visit and a big town centre to buy things at affordable prices.

I have made lots of friends since joining UNIC. This is mostly as there are a lot of ways to make friends such as group activities or through the Facebook group. I haven’t really felt homesick because there are always things to do and places to see.

My advice to anyone studying at UNIC would be it is a great choice! You will not regret it and you will be faced with many opportunities to help you with your studies and your career.
